Netflix has always been the go-to place for people who seek good movies to watch. A place where you can watch and chill with your loved ones, friends and family. Not only movies but also series, k-dramas, animes, and many more. With me belonging to this group of people who do so and as someone who loves food, let me recommend to you these food shows that you can binge-watch on Netflix.
Streetfood Asia
Streetfood Asia is a documentary series of people living in the featured countries per episode. In here, you’ll learn about a bit of their culture and some popular food Asian countries have to offer. In this food series, you also get to discover and hear stories from people whose heart was dedicated to making a remarkable staple.
Best Leftovers Ever
If you’re looking for a series where chefs test their abilities to recreate something new from leftovers, then Best Leftovers Ever is for you. In each episode, three chefs will be challenged to make a winning dish from the given leftovers from the fridge. It’s quite exciting too as you wouldn’t know that you could even still recycle this dish to that dish.
Crazy Delicious
Crazy Delicious is a British reality food show which also challenges its chefs to create something really pretty. Like many other shows, Crazy Delicious episodes do also have a certain theme for their challenge. Though the production was a bit corny but still, it is a good show to watch.
Cooked with Cannabis
Cooked with Cannabis is one of the food shows that you shouldn’t miss out on Netflix. Cannabis, also known as marijuana among other names, is a psychoactive drug from the Cannabis plant. Though Cannabis has been mostly misinterpreted by many people, this show will be giving you excitement as chefs make very good dishes incorporated with Cannabis.
Bake Squad
Bake Squad consists of only four chefs throughout the whole series. But that doesn’t mean that it is not good. In this show, these four chefs are challenged to elevate their ideas and do an epic execution as what the client wants to have per episode. Yes, clients! In each episode of Bake Squad, there will be a client who would be giving instructions as to what these chefs should be making.
The American Barbeque Showdown
Now, let’s go grilling! The American Barbeque Showdown is the perfect show for you if you’re someone who’s into meat and grill. Each episode of this show challenges their cooks to make a mouthwatering dish that submits to the theme given. All episodes should I say were held outdoor leading to one winner at the end of the show.
Shokugeki no Soma
Shokugeki no Soma is an anime which genre is cooking. Not only focusing on cooking but this anime also has a funny side to it. Shokugeki no Soma does have three seasons and has been really popular with people who love anime way back years it has been released. Many have even tried the foods on Youtube from this anime. A must-watch!
Sugar Rush
Sugar Rush is one of my favorite cooking shows from Netflix. Hosted by Hunter March who is really handsome, this cooking show is worth watching! In Sugar Rush, there will be four teams that come in a group of two chefs who will be competing until the end. In each round, one team will be eliminated leading to only two teams remaining in the final round.
Round 1 will be all about themed cupcakes. Round 2 is all about confections. And the final round will be all about Cakes. This show is perfect for people who love sweets and even bakers who would want more ideas to improve their crafts.
If you do search Sugar Rush on Netflix, you might also see Sugar Rush Christmas on the results. Don’t miss that out as that is a Christmas Edition of Sugar Rush.
Sugar High
Sugar High is a continuation of Sugar Rush. It only has one episode but there were rumors that there should have been many like the Sugar Rush. In Sugar High, talented sugar artists compete for $10,000 over two rounds of competition – the candy and sugar sculpture.
School of Chocolate
School of Chocolate is one of the newest food shows that you can find on Netflix. This show focuses on making chocolates, sculpting, and somehow incorporating it with pastries. This also is a contest where chocolatier from different countries competes and make friends with one another at the same time.
What I loved about this show is that there was one Filipino chocolatier who really stood out in the entire competition. It was indeed a representation for us Filipinos.
THE FINAL TABLE
The Final Table is the best food show that I saw on Netflix and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to you all. This show consists of chefs from all over the world competing to be part of the final table. In each episode, all chefs will be given this challenge to create this “ingredient” to something so worthy. Each episode also eliminates chefs leading to the final round.
There are still other cooking shows that I have watched on Netflix but these are just some of the good ones and worth watching shows that I highly suggest. If ever I do find more worth watching cooking shows along the way, I’ll surely add it here for your reference.
