Mad Monkey Cebu is located in 79 Echavez St, Cebu City 6000 Philippines. If you are coming outside Cebu and from the airport, it would take you around 30-45 minutes to get to the hostel and depending on the traffic.

From Ayala, you will just need to ride a jeep with the sign 13C and tell the driver to drop you off in Mad Monkey Hostel. If you are coming from Colon, just go over near the University of Visayas and take the jeep with the sign 62C or 62B and tell the driver to drop you off the hostel.

I have tried checking in to a lot of hostels and hotels not only here in Cebu but every time I travel around the Philippines. And the experience in Mad Monkey Cebu is something that I haven’t tried yet among all the hostels that I have been to. This place is heaven! It might sound exaggerated but it’s definitely the truth. Mad Monkey is a place where you can really feel a life and music is never ending.  Well, if you are this type of person who really loves to party, this place is perfect for you.

In Mad Monkey Hostel Cebu, most of the guests actually stand by in the rooftop bar, have chitchats and have some fun. In their rooftop, you could also find their pool and just beside the bar. The pool comes with a small lounge at the left side in which you could also chill and grab that Instagram-worthy shot.

Unlimited Free Shots at the Bar

If you’re in Mad Monkey, you might be shocked why there are folks who keep on shouting “Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s free shots at the bar“, yes you heard it right! Free shots at the bar!

During party sessions, their poolside bar actually have free shots every hour starting from 7:00 PM. By 7:30 PM until 8:00 PM, they do have an open bar then in which you get to have your own bottle of beer for free! It’s unlimited! Well, you just need to finish your bottle of beer first so you can get another one for free.

Staying in Mad Monkey Hostel Cebu

I was with my 5 friends who stayed in Mad Monkey and we stayed in a dormitory-room type for 6 people with 6 bunk beds. Each bed space has its own outlet for you and a cute mini lamp. The room was spacious and it comes with one locker per person too.

What I liked about the room was the beds. The bunk beds were so comfy, making you want to stay for more. Their comfort room is also clean and it comes with a shower that you can adjust to cold and warm. The mirror in the rest room was also nice! You can really take good mirror selfies since the lighting was so good.

There are different types of rooms in Mad Monkey. If you are that backpacker type of person, then you could choose to go with the shared dormitories. But if you would want some privacy, Mad Monkey offers private rooms too at a very budget-friendly price.

If I were to rate Mad Monkey Hostel Cebu, I’ll give it a 10 out of 10. This hostel is just so different among other hostels that you’ll find in Cebu. And if you’re someone who’s visiting Cebu from another place, I would really say that this is a MUST place to visit in the metro.
