It is not every time that you get to try some good Asian food. If someone craves one, they would have to go to a restaurant that offers some Asian food. But the thing is, it’s kinda expensive! That’s why, when we heard that there’s this store that offers some Vietnamese staples in Cebu, we immediately plan to visit and try it! Introducing, Ouritchyfeet Asian Eats.
Discovering Ouritchyfeet Asian Eats
Ouritchyfeet Asian Eats is managed by six siblings who envisioned bringing Asian street food to Cebuanos. They started to open their doors to the public last October of 2021. They are situated in the parking lot of Queensland manor Condominiums, in the streets of Rahman Cebu City.
Right now, they are offering Vietnamese food to the public which includes Bún chả, a Vietnamese dish that’s made up of grilled pork and noodle. This is thought to have originated from Hanoi, Vietnam. It is also served with grilled fatty pork over a plate of white rice noodles and herbs with a side dish of dipping sauce. They also offer Cha Bum, which consists of Vietnamese Meatballs instead of grilled pork.
One of the dishes that they have been known for by the Cebuanos is their Grilled Balot, which is quite popular as well in Vietnam. But if you’re not really into Balot, you can try then their Grilled Penoy or Grilled Pugo, a Filipino take on the famous Vietnamese Grilled Balot.
Of course, what’s Vietnam without the famous Bánh mì? In Ouritchyfeet Asian Eats, their take on Vietnam’s Bánh mì is their Bánh mì Pandesal. It’s inspired by the Bánh mì sandwich mixed with their Vietnamese Meatballs and their special sauce.
If you’re then also up for a good egg coffee, they also have it! It’s creamy, has that perfect balance of flavor, and is pretty good too as we experience it. You can have it for only Php80.
Aside from Vietnamese Street Food, they are also offering Thai Chicken Claypot. This is one of the newest addition to their menu. This is perfect for people who want to savor an authentic taste of Thai Chicken cooked over rice in a clay pot for only Php350.
The Thai Chicken Clay pot is cooked for around 40 minutes and can serve to up to three people. One might think that the waiting time is too long, but I assure you, it’s worth waiting!
